Implants
Dental implants are a very popular way to replace missing teeth. Implants are screws in your bone that support a fake tooth (crown). Implant placement and other necessary surgeries for the implant are performed at OFD.
In order to receive a dental implant, a comprehensive assessment and 3D scan must be performed in order to determine if an implant is a good medical treatment option for you.
Dental Surgery
Dental surgeries include extractions, bone grafting, soft tissue (gum) surgery, hard tissue (bone) surgery, and more.
Bone grafting is where extra bone is placed in your jaw to create enough bone for the implant to be placed.
Soft tissue surgery includes gum surgery to fix gummy smiles, and frenectomies (removing tongue and lip ties).
Hard tissue surgeries (Alveoplasty) are done to modify the shape of your bone. This can be done when a patient needs a denture, and the bone is too bumpy for the denture to rest comfortably on. Alveoplasties ensure the best possible fit of your new denture.
